The rotator cuff is a group of four muscles and tendons that stabilize the shoulder joint. The muscles and tendons work together to hold the head of the humorous bone in the shoulder socket. This course focuses on common causes of rotator cuff injury and dysfunction including acute and repetitive injuries and chronic postural problems leading to dysfunction. Students will learn the anatomy and function of the rotator cuff, injuries, treatments, muscle testing, and prevention and treatment protocols. Stretching and strengthening exercises will be discussed. Content includes presenters from the fields of massage therapy, physical therapy and fitness. You will receive information and instruction from four teachers in the field of Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Chiropractic.
