The objective of Advanced Cupping: Lower Extremity Joints is to educate the practitioner on the four major lower extremity joints (hip, knee, ankle, toe) and how cupping can alleviate symptoms.  Each joint will be discussed in detail, focusing on traumatic injuries, joint anatomy, overuse injuries, and pain of unknown origin.  Each pain pattern will have cupping suggestions and each joint will have protocols for general pain.  The practitioner should leave the seminar with greater confidence in understanding each joint along with how to treat from a maintenance, acute pain, and postoperative view point.

Objectives:

  • Overview of each joint in function and potential problems.

  • How to add cupping as a treatment for lower extremity joints.

  • Attendees will have four separate practice sessions; one for each joint area.

  • Anatomy will be reinforced as a reminder about specific locations for cupping

What to bring:

  • Loose fitting clothing

  • Set of sheets

  • Set of cups (1 set but 2 would be better – we will have sets available at cost)

  • Preferred cupping balm
