An Introduction to Insight Acupressure 2 days 12 CEUs
Insight Acupressure is a dynamic and transformative healing modality that
integrates ancient teachings with contemporary techniques to promote health and
self-responsibility for well-being. Insight Acupressure is a compilation of theory,
skills and techniques created by Dr. Aminah Raheem. We offer a spectrum of
courses of study in Clinical and/or Process Acupressure, which may be taken a-la-
cart or in specific combinations as part of certification programs.
This introductory workshop is designed for bodyworkers to give a broad overview
of the scope and practice of Insight Acupressure. Students will learn a gentle and powerful
acupressure technique for balancing and harmonizing body, mind, and spirit. In this two-day
workshop, you will learn about the healing and transforming power of Insight Acupressure,
enjoy many opportunities to exchange bodywork, practice techniques to use for clients as well as
for self-care, and take-home skills you can use immediately in your practice. These balancing
protocols are selected for massage therapists as they include: a Deep Relaxation Release,
Emotional Stress Release, Muscle Relaxation Release and two Whole Being Protocols.
Workshop Objectives:
1. Describe the benefits of using Insight Acupressure.
2. Learn, demonstrate, and practice the leg stretch and neck release.
3. Learn, demonstrate, and practice a gentle style of touch that affects the energy and
physical bodies simultaneously.
4. Learn and practice an acupressure method and releases for balancing the whole being.
5. Learn, demonstrate, and practice five Insight Acupressure releases and Chakra Balancing
6. Learn to use Insight Acupressure to provide relief of symptoms and promote
whole-being awareness.
