Workshop Description:
Shiatsu performed on the table allows the practitioner a chance to experience the rhythm and flow of this beautiful modality. The receiver also benefits from the movement and depth of pressure that are foundational to delivering shiatsu. Once you learn a few simple principles you will be able to create a unique session for every client. These techniques also blend well with other modalities and give you more options to be creative and treat your clients.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn the basic principles and philosophy of Shiatsu
- Practice techniques in both supine and prone positions
- Discover the fun and ease of using your body mechanics in different ways
- Learn relaxing neck and face techniques that peacefully complete a session
About your instructor:
Sue Wood Lmt is a PA licensed massage therapist and a certified shiatsu practitioner. She has served as a massage therapy instructor, program head and
advisory board member in the Philadelphia area since 2001. She is the former owner/massage therapist of Massage For Healthy Aging.
